The Northshore Gumbo Cook-Off
The Northshore Gumbo Cook-Off seeks teams to compete in the annual fundraiser on March 9, 2019 benefitting area youth programs supported by Slidell Little Theatre and the Northshore Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC).
The Northshore Gumbo Cook-Off is a cooperative effort to help each organization expand its community outreach projects to enrich the lives of our community through the Arts, Education and Personal Development. Portions of the proceeds will also be donated to the Homeless Outreach for Youth in St. Tammany (HOYST) Fund. HOYST uses its funding to offer homeless youth 16 to 22 years of age transitional housing as well as supportive services that will lead to self-sufficiency and stable living conditions.
General admission is $10 per person for all-you-can-eat gumbo, and children under the age of 10 are admitted in free. The gates open at 11 a.m., and the winners of the cook-off are announced at 2:30 p.m.
Team registration is $75 and there are two categories to choose from: seafood or non-seafood. For a team application click on this link:
